St Johns Church
|
St John's Church is a small treasure in the Parish of Salter Street and Shirley. Installed as a temporary wooden church over 80 years ago, the love and care that has gone into it has ensure that it is still part of the Parish. Our Sunday Service is at 9.15 am and though a smaller community, a warm welcome is extended to everyone who wishes to join us. We have an all service of communion on the first Sunday of the month and there is often a junior church which meets in the nursery next door on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

The friendly services at
St John’s have a quiet, rural aura but are still deeply meaningful in its leadership. The other Team Vicar’s of the Parish make a monthly visit to
St John’s so that a feeling of a whole Christian community is felt within the Parish.
REVEREND IAIN ROBERTSON
HAS ACCEPTED THE POSITION AS TEAM VICAR
It is with great delight that St John's are able to announce the appointment of a new Team Vicar for the post at St John's.
Iain Robertson and Ann-Marie are very welcome and we look forward to them joining us at the end of July.
